About Aluminium Gutters Direct
Every rainwater system in the UK, under one roof.
Our goal is simple: to be the place the UK buys rainwater goods. Every brand and every material, priced straight, with advice from people who've spent 30 years fitting it.
Aluminium Gutters Direct stocks gutters and downpipes in aluminium, cast aluminium, cast iron, steel, copper and zinc from every major UK brand, plus our own AGD Signature Range: the most popular aluminium profiles at the lowest price in the UK, made to the same standard as the big names. We also carry fascia, soffit, coping, column casings, door canopies and the full architectural range. Our aluminium gutters, downpipes, fascia and coping ship in 1 to 3 days; everything else is ordered in from the manufacturer or made bespoke to your drawing, in any colour, through any brand we stock. The shop is new. The people behind it aren't: the AGD team has spent 30+ years installing gutters, and our sister company is a major commercial installer, so if you need it fitted as well as supplied, we can do that too. Whether you're pricing a job, specifying a heritage terrace or replacing a single run, you'll get the service that has earned us 4.9 stars across 2,000+ reviews.
Our guttering is manufactured to British Standards and finished with polyester powder coatings, so it lasts for decades with next to no maintenance. We stock every profile available in the UK, in every material and every girth the job calls for, along with the full supporting system of downpipes, hoppers, brackets, unions, angles, outlets and stop ends, so every order arrives complete and compatible. For heritage and conservation projects we supply authentic cast iron and cast aluminium reproductions. For contemporary builds we supply the slimline flush-fit aluminium, steel and zinc systems that architects specify again and again.
Our aluminium range (gutters, downpipes, fascia and coping) ships from stock in 1 to 3 days to England, Scotland and Wales. Cast iron, steel, copper, zinc and bespoke items are made or ordered to your spec, and we'll confirm a lead time before you commit. The AGD Signature Range is already the cheapest of its kind in the UK, and AGD Club members get a further discount based on their yearly spend. Whether you need a full system for a new build, a colour-matched replacement for a period property, or fabrication to a drawing, our team has priced and specced thousands of jobs. Call us on 0330 0539354, email the team, or send us your plans for a free quote.

Maybe your van needs a bit of organisation - 5 ways to improve your space
Organise your space effectively If you group tools by their purpose instead of storing everything together, this is an extremely efficient way to keep your van organised. You can have certain areas for drills, screw bits etc. Tidy van. Tidy mind. Make sure you are safe Ensuure your consumables are secure inside the van, this helps to reduce risks of any damage and also gives you easy access to them. The last thing you need on site is spray cans all over the back of the van when you've been dashing to get to site on time. Make sure silicone guns etc are kept secure, they're utilised alot onsite so keep them within reach too. You need to keep your cleaning go to's close. Cleaning products are often overlooked but used regularly. Make sure your wipes, towels are kept in a sensible place. They can often get buried beneath the gutters, pipes, copings and all the rubbish that accumulates in the back of the van, we've all been there... Building compartments for these types of items in the back of the van is a really smart move. Get ahead of the game and get your van organised. Stack up, don't let things lie on the floor I have seen alot of tradesmen just shove everything into the back of the van then spend 20 munutes trying to look for their drill bits. Needle in a haystack comes to mind. Using compartments, shelves gives you so much more freedom. Make your van space work for you, not the other way around. Gutters and Pipe command alot of space. You don't want to be rummaging around trying to find your essentials on the start of a new job. Replenish your stock This can be one of the biggest time saving hacks. Check your stock levels. I've seen it all too many times on site. Right, quick brew then we will get back to it. Ah, hold on, we've got to get more silicone sealant. 30 minutes there, 30 minutes back and an hour has been wasted. Check your supplies. Get rid of empty packages. Check your tools and equipment before each job. This will give you clarity of mind and help you to get the job done right, every time. Avoid the unnecessary stress We want to hear from you! You can now rely on 5 practical tips to keep your van organised. Drop us a message online Aluminium Gutters Direct We share practical tips from the trade with over 45 years of experience in aluminium gutter installation. A Typical Day on Site: It's Never Just About the Gutters
People often imagine gutter installation is straightforward. Turn up, fit the gutters, pack up, head home. I used to think that too. After spending time on building sites and talking to installers over countless cups of tea, I've realised there's no such thing as a "typical" day. Every house has its own personality. Every customer has a different story. Even the weather seems determined to keep everyone guessing. The alarm goes off early. Before most people have finished their first coffee, the van is already loaded. Ladders are strapped down, tools are checked for the hundredth time, and someone inevitably asks, "Did you remember the brackets?" Even though they've already checked twice. The first job of the day looks simple enough from the road. It rarely is. Maybe the old cast iron guttering has been in place since the 1960s. The bolts haven't moved in decades. Moss has built up where nobody could see it, and there's always that one awkward corner that wasn't obvious from the photos. That's where experience starts to matter. You learn not to rush. You take a few extra minutes looking at how the water currently flows, where the downpipes are positioned, and whether the fascia boards have stood the test of time. Installing new aluminium guttering isn't just about replacing what's there. It's about making sure rainwater has somewhere sensible to go for years to come. Around mid-morning someone usually appears at the front door. Sometimes it's with biscuits. Sometimes it's with questions. "Will these need painting?" "Are they really aluminium?" "How long will they last?" They're fair questions, and most installers are happy to answer them. Customers are making an investment in their home, after all. They want to understand why modern aluminium systems have become so popular. Lightweight, strong, resistant to rust and requiring very little maintenance...it's easy to see why they're replacing older materials on so many properties. By lunchtime the weather has probably changed. It almost always does. Blue skies can disappear in twenty minutes, especially in Britain. Suddenly everyone is watching the clouds while trying to finish a run before the next shower arrives. There's no point pretending otherwise; working outdoors means working with whatever the day decides to throw at you. Then comes my favourite part. Standing back. There's something surprisingly satisfying about seeing clean, straight lines running along the roof edge. The house somehow looks sharper without shouting for attention. Good guttering isn't supposed to steal the show. If you've done the job properly, most people won't notice it at all. They'll simply notice the house looks...right. Late afternoon usually involves a final walk around. Every bracket checked. Every joint inspected. Every bit of old material cleared away. Nobody wants to leave a customer with a garden full of offcuts or forgotten screws. The small details are often what people remember most. Driving home, it's funny how many houses you start looking at differently. You notice sagging gutters, overflowing joints and downpipes that clearly haven't worked properly for years. It's difficult to switch that part of your brain off once you've spent enough time around the trade. So, what's a typical day on site? Honestly, there probably isn't one. Some jobs finish ahead of schedule. Others throw up surprises hidden behind old fascias. Some customers want to chat for half an hour, while others simply wave from the window before disappearing back inside. The one thing that stays the same is the satisfaction of leaving a property knowing the next heavy downpour won't be something the homeowner has to worry about. It's easy to overlook guttering until something goes wrong. But when it's installed properly, it's quietly protecting a home every single day, without asking for any attention at all. And perhaps that's exactly how it should be.
