The civil war between Henry´s forces (Lancaster) who wore a red rose and the House of York, who wore white. The Tudor rose which is a combination of the two eventually was a representation of peace between the two houses. Today, the red rose is used in England by sports teams such as the England Rugby Union team and in various other places.
