Cast Aluminium Hopper Heads and history of the English Rose!

The Tudor Rose was incorporated by Henry VII (father of Henry VIII) as England´s national emblem at the end of the bloody War of the Roses. The civil war between Henry´s forces (Lancaster) who wore a red rose and the House of York, who wore white. The Tudor rose which is a combination of the two eventually was a representation of peace between the two houses. Today, the red rose is used in England by sports teams such as the England Rugby Union team and in various other places. The rose has been incorporated in UK construction throughout the last 500 years, most notably on Hopper Heads around the roofline. A variety of our Cast Aluminium Hopper Heads showcases a variety of roses and emblems which can be altered and designed to suit.

Aluminium Hoppers have been used in UK construction for hundreds of years. Not only are they a stylish feature of any building, but they are also extremely functional in the UK when large amounts of water congregate on the roof of a building. They significantly increase the capacity of the downpipe but are also aesthetical and compliment the design of any building.
