The Alumasc Guardian range of aluminium security downpipes is a vandal-resistant rainwater system designed for security-conscious environments such as schools, hospitals, transport hubs, and other public buildings. Available in circular, square and rectangular profiles, the Guardian system offers a complete set of components including standard downpipes, make-up pieces, bends (forward, backward, left and right in 92.5°, 112.5° and 135° angles), access pipes, fixed offsets, 2-part offsets (305mm, 533mm and 762mm projections), shoes, and rectangular hoppers.

Guardian downpipes feature concealed brackets and jointing, creating a flush fit to the wall. This design makes them ungrippable, vandal-resistant, and highly secure, while maintaining a neat and contemporary appearance. Hoppers are fabricated from aluminium sheet, with weld marks visible around the base as part of the manufacturing process.

Manufactured from high-quality aluminium, Guardian downpipes are lightweight, durable and resistant to corrosion and impact damage. The system provides a service life expectancy of up to 40 years in rural or suburban areas, and up to 25 years in industrial or marine environments.

All Guardian products are made-to-order bespoke systems with an approximate 4-week lead time. They are available in plain mill finish for on-site painting or factory-applied BBA-approved polyester powder coatings in 26 standard colours, with additional BS and RAL colours available on request. As with all Alumasc aluminium rainwater systems, the Guardian range is 100% recyclable, combining sustainability with security.
